Its easy to tell who your friends are.They're the one's who stab you while you're looking.

As Iron sharpens iron, A friends sharpens a friend. Proverbs 27:17

He says that friends are people with whom you dare to be yourself. Your soul can be naked with them.They ask you to put on nothing,only to be what you are.They do not wan't you to be better or worse.When you are with them,you feel like the prisoner feels who has been declared innocent.You do not have to be on your guard.You can say what you think as long as you believe in it.

Friends understand those contradictions in your nature that lead others to misjudge you.With them you breaths freely.You can be up front with your little vanities and envies and hates and vicious sparks,with your meaness little streaks of meaness and absurdities,And by opening them up to your friends,they are lost,dissolved in the wide and white ocean of their loyalty. They understand ,You do not have to be careful.You can abuse them,neglect them,tolerate them.Best of all you ,can still keep them.It does not matter,they like you,friends are like fire which purges to the bone.They take you wholesale, you can weep with them,sing with them,laugh with them and pray with them.Through it all and underneath, they see, know and love you.What is a friend? just one I repeat,with whom you dare to be yourself .Im glad i have friends.They've been with me all these years.We've laughed together, dined together, attended worship services and studied the bible together, and we've prayed for each other during times of crises.No man is designed to be alone.He needs friends and his friends need him too,The only reason why friendship last is because love is there.Friends are there not just to sympathize with our weakness,but more so,they are there in order to help us summon our strength.The Bible says this in proverbs 27:17, "As Iron sharpens iron,so one man sharpens another.Faithful are wounds of a friend;Profuse are the kisses of an enemy."And by the way,before you can have a friend,be a friend first,this is the best advice i can give you.
